Did You Like Ricky Gervais’ Jokes from the Recent Golden Globes?
Some people say that he went too far, not being used to British humour…
Some of his jokes went:
“It seems like everything this year was 3-dimensional — except for the characters in The Tourist. I haven’t even seen The Tourist — who has?”
“The special effects team from Sex and the City 2 should have been nominated for all of their air-brushing on the movie poster.”
“In I Love You, Phillip Morris we have Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor as heterosexual actors who played gay characters. So that’s the complete opposite of some other famous Scientologists then.”
“He’s a famous actor but many of you in this room probably know him best from such facilities as the Betty Ford Clinic and Los Angeles County Jail. Robert Downey Jr. everyone.”
He did the same thing last year! So I don’t know why people are so surprised, and certainly the Foreign Press who hired him knew what they were getting.
