Air Brush Schooling

Should I get back in the air again?

My medical lapsed about 6 years ago, age 50-55. Should have no problem passing medical. Would need to brush up on the new regs, and a little time in the air. Have rotor & fixed time. If I was to “get back ” in the air, it would be fixed wing only. How much have the regs changed? Would anyone advise just going through a ground school again?
For what it’s worth, I held a private ticket, for 12 years. Was in the air often.

I would buy the course from the sporty’s pilot shop or sunrise aviation. Personally, I would call Sunrise. They are at John Wayne Int’l near Anaheim. Other people think sporty’s is more approachable.

Regs haven’t changed that much, but depending on where you are, TFRs and ADIZ have changed quite a bit since 9/11(hope you don’t live near Washington DC). Plus, there seems to be more traffic.

Your local FBO can provide you with some good information, especially since you will have to do a little more than a biannual flight review, and will need a good instructor.
