How well wouild Airbrushing a cornhole set work?

I am going into the cornhole building business, and I’ve had a lot of orders. Painting seems to be the most time consuming part. Would investing in an Airbrushing kit be a good idea? Especially when making logos and generally anything made with painters tape. If so, what kind of paint would you use in the Airbrush? Where could I get a decent kit, and what price range would it be? Thanks!

What the heck! You don’t even have a clue what you’re talking about and you’re trying to give this person advice? Yahoo answers isn’t designed as a place to misinform people just so you can, hopefully, rack up some points. Now would you please knock it off!?

First of all, the Tarde Airbrush (to the best of my knowledge) is something being marketed to those who want to Airbrush Makeup or something along that line. Anyone who’s serious about Airbrushing and their art/craft wouldn’t even consider buying one. As for the Japaneese paints….I couldn’t even find them in a Google search….so forget about that one too.

I’ve already written quite a few lengthy replies to questions similar to this, but in hopes to shed some light on the subject and steer you in the right direction let’s see what I can come up with off the top of my head.

As far as paints go you have a very wide selection. The platform is made of wood which will need to be sealed first then scuffed with 400 grit sand paper or a scotchbrite pad. After that you can use E’tac, Createx, AutoAir, Holbein, Golden, etc… . Heat set your artwork/design with a heat gun and then apply a Water-based Polyurethane with a brush, roller or spray gun. As for the corn bags you can use the same paints and just heat set them.

Now…the equipment you’ll need:

1) For this type of work I’d highly recommend the Iwata eclipse BCS. It’s fantastic for working on medium sized projects, has great atomization, and since it’s siphon fed color changes are quick. It’s also one of the most preferred Airbrushes for t-shirt artists.

2) A 10′ braided air hose.

3) An air compressor with a water trap and storage tank. I also recommend buying a second water trap/air filter along with another section of braided hose to eliminate the water in the airlines. You can contact me later about setting it up.

This is a pretty good deal I found on ebay which has everything except the paints and second water trap.

Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.
