Hot Air Brush And Dryer
PLEASE help!!!! My hair is a hot mess…?
So this summer I decided to let my hair air-dry. It turns out that my hair is not naturally straight and that I’ve only been blow-drying it straight. The only problem is this: part of my hair is curly/wavy and part of it has pretty much no body to it at all.
I decided I’d much rather embrace my hair’s natural texture, but I wanted it to look unified all over, so I tried Garnier Wonder Waves and Herbal Essence Tousle Me Softly, but neither set of products really seemed to do anything more than make me look like Courtney Love. I’m not 100% sure I’m using the products “correctly” but I end up with hair that just looks like I haven’t brushed it in a really long time.
Ideally, I’d like to have loose waves that look natural and fairly clean. Can anyone please help me?
Apply some volume enhancing mousse (about a golf ball sized amount) through the mid lengths and ends of your hair. Blow dry your hair upside down when it’s still slightly damp but not completely wet and run your fingers through it a couple of times to make sure the strands are seperated and don’t gloop together with the mousse. Once it’s dry it should have more volume and hold. If not, you could always use large rollers on the end to add more body (they won’t give you tight curls, just big waves and a bit of a boost) when the hair is slightly damp and blast with a hair dryer for 10 seconds.
