getting natural african hair straight?

i have braids in right now, but i’m thinking of methods to try for getting my hair straight when i take them out. i’m NOT getting a relaxer. i was thinking of using a Hot Air Brush- http://tinyurl.com/68t6du on small sections of damp hair, and then when it’s all dry, use my solia flat iron on small sections throughout my entire head. of course i’ll use leave in conditioner and heat protectant as well. but do you think that would efficiently get my hair straight? or do you have any other suggestions?

That sounds about right. I’ve heard the key to getting a great straight style is to blow dry it as straight as possible first, and then flat iron it. And of course, you already know about the importance of heat protectants.
If the Hot Air Brush doesn’t work, try blow drying with a barrel brush instead.
