Make Up Airbrushing
How does the Airbrushing make up work that they sell at nordstroms? it has like a little comressor thing?
and a pen/gun thing that “Airbrushes” on your liqued Makeup! does it work good?
Actually, Airbrushing is a sanitary way to do Makeup and also very tangible. You can actually do anything from foundation to eyeshadow with an Airbrushing system. It does layer Makeup on flawlessly and also very lightly.
The process works with very fluid foundation, there are actually certain types out there sold especially for Airbrush compressors. You put about a tiny amount into a slot into the pen of the gun and air pushes the fluids out and disperses them finely on to the skin. Depending on the settings, you can go through with just one swipe or more based on your need for coverage and it won’t look too cakey or chalky. It does look very natural. The reason why they call it Airbrush is because it disperses Makeup by air pressure by spraying it onto the face but in a light mist rather than using an actual brush. It can take practice to apply the eyeshadow and blush with this but it does wonder.
Keep in mind though that this is an investment and they are not cheap. Some portable compressors out there are about $500 alone, not including your actual gun and foundation. It loads foundation by a small opening on the gun and it actually can intake a small amount but usually enough to cover enough passes for the whole face. And when you’re finished, you can press a button and it releases the liquid foundation from the gun itself.
